Macdara hails from An Rinn, Co Waterford and has played fiddle, mandolin and bouzouki from an early age. An accomplished musician he is always in demand and takes part in sessions throughout the country.
Not only into the music Macdara has a love for woodworking and also makes handcrafted fretted instruments – building bouzoukis and mandolins and having started his first few guitars. From early beginnings and having a keen interest in woodwork as a child, his parents encouraged Macdara and his brothers with a children’s woodwork set – from then it has been onwards and upwards.
